RG6 Coaxial Cable - FAQs
RG6 coaxial cable is the most common cable for cable TV, DTH (Tata Play, Airtel, d2h, DD Free Dish), satellite signal feeds, and analog CCTV camera video runs. Its 75 Ohm impedance and dual aluminium shielding are designed to carry high-frequency video signals over typical building runs without significant loss or interference.
RG6 has a thicker inner conductor and better shielding than RG59, so it carries high-frequency signals (like satellite / DTH) over longer distances with less loss. RG59 is older and is now mostly used for short analog CCTV runs. For DTH, cable TV and modern installations RG6 is the recommended choice.
Yes. RG6 is widely used for analog CCTV (HD-CVI / HD-TVI / AHD) video runs, especially for longer cable distances where signal loss matters. For installations that require video and supporting conductors in one outer sheath, CCTV 3+1 composite cable is also available.
Ramros RG6 coaxial cable is supplied in standard 90 m, 180 m or 305 m rolls. The cable is jacketed in PVC with a printed identification line so installers can verify length and batch. Bulk packing for projects can be confirmed at the time of enquiry.
